
This exceptional offering from the Rwandan Women's Coffee Extension is an excellent introduction into natural process coffees with plenty of sweetness and fruit forward flavors without the more intense brightness that is often present in these coffees. Notes of wild berries, raw sugar cane and and mild grapefruit all wrapped up in a silky medium bodied mouthfeel.
This special lot comes to us from the Women Coffee Extension (WCE) at the Mbizi Coffee Washing Station in Birambo, Rwanda. Founded in 2017 by Aline Christine and Odette Uwamariya, the WCE is a women’s coffee cooperative focused on creating a space for female specialty coffee producers and to have a stronger voice in Rwanda coffee production. Today, the WCE has over 700 female coffee producer members.
